Larry Bryson Bio 2025

At my core, I feel a deep connection to the world around me, sharing a sense of 'home' with plants, animals, soil.

If you stand a certain way. Hold your head a certain way. A good guard dog would consider that a threat and alerts everybody. Your cat might bail out and disappear. There is an element of communication that does not involve language and words. Totally separate. That's the visual world where we are evaluating what we see all the time and interpreting that.

Critics often struggle to relate the essence of art through language, which can dilute the experience, as they attempt to label pieces instead of appreciating their visual symphony. My work may seem diverse, encompassing wildlife, landscapes, and flora, but it is united by the use of color, shape, texture, and line to mood. I’ve spent years observing nature, I strive to capture the pace and beauty of the wild without the dramatizations of cinema. My recent focus has been on the elephant seals that visit each winter, their incredible journey of thousands of miles each year. Exhibitions and Awards:
